We are presently working with our partners Store Electronic Systems to introduce Electronic Shelf Label technology to Australia and New Zealand.

Electronic Shelf Labels (ESL) are designed to be displayed in front of each product in a retail store and are capable of displaying the main price as well as sundry information such as tax, unit pricing or an additional currency.

Using ESL technology makes it easy to change pricing and because the data is coming from the same system as the cash register it also ensures there are no discrepancies in pricing which traditionally can cause lengthy queues, customer disappointment and frustration.

• Customers will always tell you if the price is higher at the check-out but not so much if it scans at a cheaper price than they were prepared to pay when they saw the product on the shelf.
